fresh from the kiln...

we unloaded the kiln last night and overall it was a great firing. here are just a few examples...


Jeff's work in the shino/matte green combo


my blue/white slip trail pots


carved vase with shino/gloss green combo... this is so shiny it was hard to photograph


ash glaze... this sort of makes me dizzy


tooth brush holders & cups... i hadn't made these in years

we have another bisque firing in the electric kiln today. we will get one more gas firing along with a raku before the end of the week. i am trying to not get stressed out... i know we are ahead of last year because i have a picture of jeff standing in front of the kiln on November 11, 2010 and the chimney wasn't even done yet!

    Love the shino/matte green combo. Looks like a great firing. (whew!!). This time before the holidays is so frantic, isn't it?!
