He was explaining how he creates the shape after throwing then binds the pot in plastic wrap so it holds it's shape while drying. Personally, I would buy it over a perfectly round piece.<br /><br />If you ever read my listings on Etsy, many of them disclose that the rim is not perfectly round. Porcelain has a mind of it's own. Smartcat used a term that I think describes it in a lovely way.
