Seagrove road trip - part three

you gotta love this sign!!!

saturday morning we visited Fred Johnston and Carol Gentithes studio and gallery. carol creates thought provoking sculptures of animals that are amazing. i was very drawn to fred's work...mimbres looking pots with contemporary designs. I had left my camera in the car so be sure to check out the link to their website.

our last studio visit was with Tom Gray... tom and jeff go way back so they had lots to talk about. we came home with a baking dish to give as a christmas gift along with two beautiful bowls for our own collection. be sure to check out tom's blog!

i was very sad to leave seagrove... it felt so good to be in a community totally immersed in pottery.
if you have never visited i encourage you to plan a trip soon...Seagrove, NC is magical.

  1. Happy New Year Michéle! Seagrove does sound like heaven for a potter! I have added it to my list of places to visit. : )
