Happy Easter!

What is more cheery than a big bowl filled with Easter eggs and CANDY?
I needed something to lift my spirits. So what did I do? Like a crazy woman, I went to Walmart (of all places) at 5:00 pm on the Saturday before Easter.
The place was a zoo.
But I accomplished my mission fairly quickly and came home with Easter goodies and eggs to dye. Even bought a bag of that tacky plastic grass... in pink because it goes nicely with the Natalie Blake bowl. Are you familiar with Natalie Blake's work? This bowl is good example of how an artist's work evolves. She now is primarily a tile maker, and a damn good one! Check out her work here.
I hope you all spend this Easter Sunday doing exactly what you want to do.

  1. I did the Walmart Easter thing too, and the Dollar store:-)
I used to decorate like a woman gone mad, but now that Wesley isn't here I don't seem so motivated. I think this might be the first year I didn't dye eggs. I'll just enjoy them virtually here,
Warm thoughts for your mom today

  2. Happy Easter to you two! Hope your weather was better than ours! Imagine a thick fog, the kind where you can swing your arm and it gets wet. Now imagine that much moisture in the air on a sunny day of about 97 degrees! I stayed inside with the air con. on all day.
    Have a great week!

  4. All of you bargain hunters will be out of luck... smallmart was already OUT of peeps and traditional jelly beans. The only jelly beans they had were jolly rancher ones.
