has flown by.
It's hard to believe we have been making pots in Seagrove for four years. It was a good excuse to celebrate. I shook the dust out of the rugs, cleaned shelves and pots, and de-cobwebbed the gallery. It was looking quite spiffy by Friday afternoon.
By noon time Saturday, there was a steady stream of traffic. Jeff threw pots for anyone who wanted to watch, while I was carving ginkgo leaves on plates. Sales were not great, but better then the average Saturday at the end of July. The day ended with Jeff grilling burgers and dogs for a small group of friends who came over to help us celebrate. The weather was perfect and we were able to eat outside without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.
This morning I am enjoying some quiet time with coffee and the sound of rain on the roof (boy do we need that rain). We don't open until noon today and I am not planning on doing any real work until then. I hope you enjoy your Sunday too.
Your gallery looks so warm and inviting, time is going by way too fast that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteoh what are you using for the under cabinet lighting, it looks really good
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, they are Utiilitech puck lights that we bought at Home Depot and Lowe's. You could buy them in singles or three packs and strung together to work on one switch. One of them died this spring and guess what... they are discontinued! They are now LED only and cost twice as much. We are going to bite the bullet and replace them a few at a time. They will save money in the long run, but the initial expense is a killer.
ReplyDeletewell they look good non the less, to save the environment the government takes away the old bulbs and fixtures and makes us buy new ones but that adds to the land fills and the manufacturing adds pollution, not to mention costing us so much more money, what can we do.
ReplyDeleteLooks great !
ReplyDeleteSo happy for your success over 4 years in Seagrove. May you have many more years of the same! Keep on carving those gingko leaves!
ReplyDeletecongrats, NICE!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to come to Seagrove for this, but we ended up having to move Wesley back to school this weekend. Maybe I can make it for your five year anniversary!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I wish you both many more years of success in Seagrove.
